Late Summer Finds '26

This late summer collection of cars brings a diverse grouping from the 20th century. 

Above: 8/20/26 - 1970 Chevrolet Impala Custom

While this ‘70 Impala isn’t nearly as decrepit as the ‘68 Bel Air you'll see later, it’s certainly not perfect either. A good restoration should be in the works for this car. It’s definitely savable.

Why need a large fire truck when everything you need is here? There's hoses, a ladder, enough space for 4 firefighters, and plenty of space for tools!

Last registered in 1986, this old Chevy lasted 18 years before it met its fate. Today, it resides in the yard of an auto auction house off the side of the highway. Despite its ruin, it still captures attention, owing to its timeless 1960s appearance… and the fact that it’s barely together!

Providence has gained another 240!

And now, the nicest Chrysler LeBaron you’ll ever see! I was amazed at how well kept and maintained this car was. It looked almost new. The gold rims, trim, and badging were features I was not familiar with on these cars.

You might remember this Kei truck from Swedish Meet Ball - October '25. Well, here it is again on a quiet night in Downtown Providence.

This donated its seats and walnut shift knob to Dan's 1993 Saab 900 Turbo.

What a fun repurposing of an old box truck!

Here is a beautiful E30 in the West End of Providence.

This old Volvo was spotted back in 2023, where I learned its story. Its most notable feature is a manual transmission swap from the slow automatic transmission. Three years later, it has obtained a set of Virgo wheels and nicer rear lenses.
