David: My boyfriend, Daniel, and I had a few days off of work and decided to take a day trip up to Provincetown, the final town located at the tip of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. We took my '78 99 EMS, Nicki, as our vehicle for the day, and drove about 160 miles roundtrip with no issue. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day weather wise to spend together, and to drive together. This trip was one for the books, and a day I'll never forget.
Spotted in Wareham, this first generation Bronco made for one heck of a photo. How often would you get to see a classic Saab and a Bronco in one place? Not too often I'd say! Although, despite the stereotype of Cape Cod folks liking their Broncos, spoiler alert, this was the only one we saw.
One sporty hatchback spots another!
As Daniel pointed out, these rims are super rare to see in the US, as they were only offered in the European Market. Aside from a mutual friend of ours who has them on his 9-3 'vert, this is the only Saab I've seen these rims used on.
This is totally a Chevy, and Wellfleet sucks, by the way.
A really clean example of a 1965 - 1973 MGB, finished in classic British Racing Green.
It's not often you get to see an AMC-era Wagoneer, especially a late '70s example, right before the Chrysler take over in the early '80s. This example appears to be a mid '70s model, painted in a beautiful shade of orange, complete with faux wood paneling!
...And here we have an example of a Chrysler era Wagoneer! This one appears to be in a little better shape than the orange '74 from above.
Does it get better than this? A LeBaron K-Car with wood paneling and painted in BROWN? I don't think so!
This is one survivor of a Falcon. It was pretty cool to see one that appeared to be a daily driver.
Daniel and I had been looking for a 240 for the entire trip, as we assumed that the classic Volvo model would be pretty common up by the tip of the Cape. However, this is the only one we found.
This is probably my favorite of the cars we found on this trip. It would probably be Sam's too. GM was at the peak of their game in the 1960s with automotive design, and this '67 Skylark is a prime example. This car was in immaculate condition, and even appeared to be a well-optioned model, with fender skirts, and a full interior.
To mark 20 years of producing convertibles (since the end of 1986), Saab produced a limited run of 400 9-3 convertibles in 2006, finished in Electric Blue. These cars were simply known as the "Twenty Years" edition, and this car just so happens to be the eighth one!
Your eyes are not decieving you...
This 1974 or thereabouts Ford F-Series has now become a piece of art in front of an abandoned building that seems to have also become a home for art. They fit each other's aesthetic well.
This is a ninth generation (1991 - 1999) model of the Suzuki Carry Kei truck. What makes this one pretty cool was that it was in use by a contractor as a work truck.
I wonder who this Glacier Blue 9-5 belongs to...
