Here are the classic cars that we found this Winter, spanning late December 2025 through March 2026.
Daniel and I found this in our Saab. Thats two dead brands in one lot. Who is driving this in the dead of winter? A real hero that's who.
This is one beautiful example of a Viggen! These are some of the best aftermarket rims I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot.
Hot BROWN.
Honestly, for an impromptu photo, I'm really proud of this one. This is also a 20 year old car now. Remember when these were new?
What a cool E30! I really like the lifted stance and the foglights up front. Inside was a beautiful interior as well. I wonder if this gets raced or brought to any events.
It's Volvo winter.
We have a NEW New England car for you today! It’s the rarest mass production SUV/crossover ever made, the Saab 9-4X. Less than 1000 of these were made, and only a couple hundred survive today, so it’s pretty cool to see one of these lounging around in Rhode Island. Noting the year, these were produced at the very end of Saab’s tenure as an automobile manufacturer. Like the NG Saab 9-5, these were the last cars designed under Saab, and you can note the similarities in their designs. Both were produced until 2012.
This golden wagon had a flask in the center console. That red wagon had some coffees in the funky cupholder. Remember kids, don't drink and drive!
See Late Spring Spotting 2023 and Cars of Edgewood for previous entries on this car.
It’s been a while since we’ve featured a Volvo 240 on here, so let’s have a gander at this old brick. This car had 230k shown on the odometer, but I have a theory that this number is incorrect! Look at this car, and tell me otherwise!
What a cool and unusual vehicle to see riding around in the Winter. I'm always happy to see enthusiasts driving their cars in non-summer weather.
What a trooper! This '89 Aerostar time capsule has traveled all the way to Providence from North Carolina.
Well this makes for the first La Salle I’ve ever found. Interestingly, I think this random used car lot in Warren, RI would be the last place I’d expect to find one. But, on these rugged streets of a post-blizzard New England, here we are.
La Salle was produced by GM from 1927 to about 1941, as a marque placed below Cadillac. Due to similarities in production between GM’s other high range brands like Oldsmobile and Buick, executives could not justify keeping the brand in production, and it was soon discontinued.
As an errand boy for my boyfriend, I picked up some parts at my local Saab shop, Conntech Saab Specialists , and found a couple of cool Saabs in the lot. If you've been an ONEC reader, you know Conntech the place to find cool Saabs.
First, we have a 1998 9000 CSE, which has been in the background in a few entries at Conntech. In the second is a 2008 9-3 Turbo X Sedan, and two 2010 9-3X wagons. How often do you see two 9-3Xs and a Turbo X together in one photo? Only at Conntech!
With my Saab 99 in the shop for a brake booster install, I was loaned my boyfriend's, Daniel, '93 900 S for a few days. It was good fun getting to drive such a similar yet different car. The biggest difference was the five speed manual transmission, which really helped on the highways. My 99 has a four speed, and is limited to about 65 MPH on most interstate highways. With the 900, I was able to cruise at 75 around 3200 RPMs. Fifth gear was a bit ambiguous to find at times, but due to the higher mileage of 232,000 on this car, I'll give it some credit.
We love Kei Trucks. Kei trucks are the best.
Truly a beautiful, enthusiast owned example of a 9-5 wagon. This one was exceptionally clean too, with no rust in the “dog leg” area behind the rear passenger doors. I wish I got to meet the owner!
According to friend of ONEC and Swedish car enthusiats, Jim, this car belongs to a mutual friend of our's mother. Nice to see a Saab family.
