Sometimes the cars we photograph don't make it into the main entries. Sometimes the cars we photograph weren't intended for blog use. Whatever the case may be, here are some of the various cars or photos that didn't make it into the main ONEC entries. Consider these "outtakes" if you will, like when your favorite music artists releasing unrelease demos or songs that never made it on to their completed records. Here are our unreleased works, released for you to enjoy! Maybe they're not the most clear, precise photos taken, but they'll offer a personal point of view between two friends sharing a love for classic cars and an undying spirit to capture the classic cars that once inhabited our raggedy Northeast roads.
For my mother, though it's not the U2 Camry.
Photographed on Elmwood Ave. in Providence. I've never seen this truck before, but hope to see it street parked someday!
My dog likes Swedish cars too!
This is the first Dodge Charger I've ever seen used by the RI State Police. I would not want to be chased by this, that's for sure!
For Sam, the last Chevy B-Body.
Foggy day, foggy photo.
Photographed on Blackstone Blvd. in the Pawtucket/Providence area. I really, really wish I got better photos.
A terrific license plate... If only it were photographed on the date.
Surprisingly, the car wasn't smoking, the owner was.
This stunning Jag has replaced the Rolls from last year!
See 2024 Bonus Content for the original entry.
Ranger Danger!
Hell of a driveway here! We have a 1992 940 Turbo and a 1990 740. Not photographed was a late '80s 240 wagon. The 740 might look familiar, and it is, because it can be seen in two other entries:
2021: Late Spring Spotting 2021
2023: Winter Break Finds 2022-23
It's good to know that these two cars are owned by a Volvo enthusiast. I really hope to photograph that 940 Turbo Wagon soon, as its a fairly rare and cool car! Who doesn't love a Volvo Turbo wagon?
I respect it.
Pic 1: 2023 Audi Q5 Quattro
Pic 2: 1999 Toyota Tacoma
I really like the shades of green on both of these cars. The flat earthy tones of the Audi make for a nice contrast among most modern cars. On the other hand, the flashiness of the Toyota just makes it stand out regardless. I'm not sure if that's a stock paint job on the Toyota, but it looks cool with the American Racing Outlaw rims.
Nice.
Awesome. This appears to be a '64 model, going by the lack of visibility for the side vents on the quarter panels.
I love taking photos of old cars at night.
See Bike Ride 17 and Bike Ride 31 for the previous entries.
An unused entry. I didn't like all of the foliage in the way, though it does look nice and scenic.
A nice Saab parked at work.
I want it. With my '78 as a weekend driver, this could make the ideal daily and the perfect two car solution.
After a long and grueling bike ride, the best ending might be a surprise C30 R.
The car in front is a 2000s Corolla... what a two car solution!
There is no car more RAD than this RX-7. There is no car more '80s than this RX-7. There is no cooler RX-7 than this RX-7. This RX-7 is peak automobilia.
Spotted while leaving work.
These two were spotted in Newport. Look closely at this photo, and you can see a mossy '94-'98 900 hiding behind the 4Runner. A nicer 900 was parked in front of this driveway, so hopefully there are plans to restore the other.
The 4Runner appears to be functional, judging by the 2028 registration sticker. I love that vintage California plate too!
My manager and I carry the lot! He also a 1971 Chevy Nova SS, a true one! So there's more potential for this photo.
Red: 2007 9-3 with a lowered stance...
Blue: 2006 9-3 Aero with a beautiful color.
The green 900 S belongs to friend of ONEC Jim, a Swedish car mechanic in the Providence area.
The silver 900 S may also be his. However, I found the same car last year, and it hasn't changed locations.
My boyfriend has the coolest cars.
